This website is about my research topic regarding light-matter interaction particularly on the liquid crystal (LC)
Cholesteryl pelargonate 97%, supervised by Prof. Peter Lemmens at the institute of condensed matter physics at the technical university
of Braunschweig.
LCs are utile materials for
technological applications such as Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs). We aim to modify the properties of the LCs by adding nanoparticles and analyse their properties
with inelastic light sattering measurements, called Raman scattering. As a light source we use different types of laser light sucht as light with linear and circular polarized
and twisted light, i.e. light that carries an orbital angular momentum (OAM).
As this research started recently and therefore this webside will grow in time with the findings of the reseach.
